🎉 Weekend Cricket Wrap-Up!
It was fantastic to finally see most of our teams hit the field this weekend!
Our First XI fought hard to reach a total of 152 against VTCA newcomers, Pascoe Vale Centrals. Nalaka De Silva led the way with a solid 45, with valuable contributions from Zac Bateman and Adam Gusic. Here’s hoping for some early wickets next week to put us in a strong position! 🏏
The Third XI bowled first, and East Keilor reached 168/9, with Isaac Sammut, Andre Sammut and Jackson Papergergiou shining as the standout bowlers. Battling it out over 36 overs, the boys finished on 8/89, with Isaac top-scoring on 39 and Akshat adding a steady 16.
Our Fourth XI, led by Sunny Fernando, had a successful day, restricting Roxburgh Park to just 93. Our batters chased down the target with only three wickets lost. Young talent Seth Dharmawiwmala starred with 4 wickets, and Senitha Kalupahana added 3. Charlie Karaluwinnie was impressive with 40* not out, while Vinidya Bandara showed flair with a stylish 26.
Due to Cole Reserve being unavailable this weekend, the 2nds will play a one-day match next week. 👏
